FAQs

  • How are lights installed?

We install all lighting with removable clips that attach to either gutters or shingles without leaving any permanent damage to your home. Permanent fixtures like staples are not used by Neon Noel LLC. We want to leave your home as spotless as we found it!

  • Are your lights weatherproof?

Our lights are 100% weatherproof and rated for outdoor use. Thanks to the patented one-piece construction of the lights we use, they completely eliminate the risk of corrosion caused by moisture, ensuring your holiday display shines bright all season long!

  • How long do the lights last?

Our lightbulbs have a lifespan of up to 100,000 hours and exceed Energy Star qualifications for quality and energy efficiency. We only use LED bulbs to make sure energy consumption is as low and affordable as possible for our customers - 90% less energy is used by LEDs than other bulbs.

  • What is the cost?

We custom quote each request because no two homes or lighting choices are identical! Our quotes are composed of the cost of the lighting chosen, labor for installation and removal, and a booking fee to make sure any clerical or replacement costs are accounted for. We request payment on your agreed upon quote after we finalize a lighting design in order to schedule your installation. Upon request, we can split payments into two equal installments.

  • Is there a discount for booking subsequent years?

Yes! After the first year where we custom measure, cut, and install lighting perfectly suited to your home, we store all of your decorations until they are needed each holiday season and provide a substantial discount on installation for all following years as long as lighting options and colors remain unchanged.

  • Do I get to choose the dates for installation and removal?

Absolutely! When a deposit is paid on a custom quote, you will be able to choose any dates for installation and removal you prefer as long as availability allows. Our scheduling is on a first come, first serve basis, so the sooner you book with us, the more likely you will have access to your chosen dates (and we offer early bird discounts for installations scheduled before September 30th for Halloween & Christmas packages or October 15th for Christmas only)!

  • Can you use lights I already own?

We prefer not to use lighting owned by customers in our installations because we cannot guarantee the safety or lifespan of lights provided for exteriors. Our lights are outdoor rated, weatherproof, and have a lifespan of up to 100k hours which allows peace of mind that there will not be any issues with safety, weather, etc!

  • Can lights be put on a timer?

All of our installations will come with a timer for lights that will be programmed from sunset to sunrise to save energy and make sure lights are only on when you would like unless otherwise specified.

  • What is your installation process?

    1) After we receive an inquiry, we schedule a consultation visit to test outdoor outlets and take any measurements needed for your custom lighting. This allows us to finalize an accurate free custom quote and make sure there are no issues that would prevent installation.

    2) Once a quote is agreed upon, the full amount or a 50% deposit is required to book your installation and removal dates, so that we can get to work planning and ordering everything for your custom lights!

    3) On the installation date, we will need access to the outdoor GFCI outlet(s) necessary to safely install your lights. We work as timely as possible and without doing any permanent damage to your property by utilizing removable clips instead of staples.

    4) The lights will remain on your property throughout the duration of the agreed period until removal. During the lighting period, we will handle any maintenance issues that might arise at no extra cost.

    5) We collect everything provided on the date of removal and store your lights until next year!

*Dates are subject to change if weather does not allow installation, but any reschedules will be as close to the original date as possible. If we know weather might become an issue, we will offer an earlier installation date if possible.
